The Ties That Binds

Room 7 movie for the Manaiakalani Festival for 2018 is based on our 60th Jubilee. We like you to have a snippet of the performances we did in our celebration. We remembers the dear Holy Faith Nuns who started our school 60 years ago.

Hi Spx Nu'u,
I like how you guys explained the creation and the beginning of our school. My favourite scene from the movie was when I was talking at the end. I don't think that we could've improved the movie anymore.
Keep up the great work!

What a lovely story about the history of St Pius X. What is really fantastic, is that you are all now, part of that history. Well done.

Kia ora!
That film is a wonderful record of your celebrations. It reminds me of the celebrations that were held for the 40th anniversary of a school I used to teach at, Holy Family School in Porirua East. We also spoke with nuns from the Brigidine Order, who founded our school and they told us about their experiences teaching. It was interesting hearing how things had changed! I wish we'd filmed those conversations.
My current school, Waikowhai Primary, has just finished their production "Pasifika Peter Pan". We also celebrated many of the cultures represented at our school as part of Peter Pan's travels (but not all of them, or we would have had a show four hours long!) Were you able to include each culture at your school?
Thanks for sharing your history. It brought back some great memories for me.
Aroha nui ki a koutou,
Mrs M

Hi Spx Nu'u,
I like how you guys explained the creation and the beginning of our school. My favorite part of the movie is when all the groups were doing their traditional dances. I don't think we don't need to improve anything, keep it up.

Talofa lava,
My name is Angel and I am from Christ the king Catholic school.
I really enjoyed your film, My favourite part was all the different cultural dances that the students did, it was really fun and upbeat to watch. Maybe you could've added a bit more text to it, but other than that the film was amazing and very creative. From watching this film, it really did tell me more about your school, the history, and about all the different cultural backgrounds.
