Where are we in the world?

Welcome back to our blog. This week we have been looking at where we are in the world and then taking a closer look at where we are in New Zealand. 

Understanding where we are in the world helps us understand who we are speaking with online and where they are from in relation to ourselves. 

With our teacher we were creating maps in our Social Studies books during the week and then this week in our Cybersmart session we created a Google My Map. Take a look: 

We enjoyed learning about the locations of some of the names we already know and looking at the distance between.

Smart Relationships - Where do you connect?

We have been looking at the idea of Smart Relationships. Looking at ways we can build relationships. 

Today we looked at our Local area on Google Earth and explored ways we build relationships around Glen Innes. You can see some places we like to visit with our friends and families here: 

When we are in person and when we are online we can build relationships with others, it is important that we learn to make smart relationships online so that we can connect and learn with others. How do you connect online?
