Well done team - I enjoyed reading your descriptions of the pine cone. I love the smell of pine cones and you made me think of warm fires in Winter. Mrs Burt
Well done writing group 1!! You showed us what a pine cone is really like with nice pictures and describing words.we were so warm when were all thinking about sitting near a warm fire with pine cones in it also we really enjoy reading this describing writing..........
I love pine cones and although I haven't had anything to with them for years, your writing reminded me of the fun I used to have with my daughters, collecting pine cones at Kai Iwi lakes. We would fill our van full of them and take them back to Whangarei to give to some old people who couldn't chop their own firewood. When they are burning they glow and it makes me feel warm just to look at them. Once in Australia I saw the hugest pine cone as I was driving along. I stopped the car and backed up to have a closer look. The pine cone wasn't a pine cone at all. It was an echidna! Thanks kids for reminding me about pine cones.
