The Welcome

What a fantastic start for term 4 at St. Pius X School. We welcomed our new principal, Mr Coakley. He came with students and teachers from Holy Cross School, which is his old school.

A Recount writing by Room 7 Literacy.

The Secret of Success

At St. Pius X School we use our virtues, which are the goodness in us, to help us focus on our learning and be able to succed.

We show this using the structure of informational writing. Everyone in Room 7 participated in making this movie.

The Special Frog

A basic way of writing an informational report. Follow the format and you can't go wrong.

At the same time find out about one of New Zealand's native frog.

Playing Tennis

Whack! Whack! Whack! The ball went flying everywhere in the tennis court .Seini, “your turn now. Go! Go! Go!,” I yelled.
Wow, what great hit, Seini. I like it.
Seini ran back for another turn to whack! Whack! Whack! All over again .
Next person, Go!
It was a great experience that I want to do it again.

HELLO 2009

Welcome back everyone to another year of learning.
We are the new Room 7 Literacy class for 2009.
The year starts off with learning to write a recount.

This is not new but hey, here are some of our recount writing. Here are some of us working during literacy.....ENJOY!!!

I was excited about the Marist Rugby Club training. I asked my dad to go but he said no. Stomped my feet to my room. Slammed the door, bang, bang, bang. My head was sore. I cried in my room.

I had no idea. I packed my bag and jumped out window. The bus came and I went. On the way, I saw a car crash. I did not care because I was worried.

At the training I was worried about my dad because I ran away. I told my coach about what I did. He came home with me. I was happy.
